not consider myself an expert on what happens outside the borders of Italy, but in these days (and possibly earlier), I emerged feeling as strong as tragic in other European countries, Western and democratic or assumed, there is the corruption that reigns in our beloved peninsula. "You have discovered the hot water ", you say, but the question that I pose here concerns primarily the birth of this corrupt system and, perhaps, of its justification. It all starts when you realize, in the political environment of the salons, the location of some positions allowed, first, a private enrichment and broadening of the boundaries of his power. The adventure of Tangentopoli was the peak, in the First Republic, this pattern of corruption and malfeasance, but today we can say that what it seemed like a break with the past, which we named the "Second Republic "is nothing but a natural extension of that experience. Going back its course, the story of Bertolaso, procurement and masseuses are just the latest in a long succession of crime, gossip, "Calciopoli" and "vallettopoli" of all kinds. Restricting our analysis and turn our eyes to the world confined to Italy from '94 to now, we can establish that the starting point, the source of all that, he agreed in large state-Mafia which was known but very that the recent statements of regret, is coming to light more clearly only in recent times. I open a small parenthesis, the words of any penitent, whoever he is, must surely be weighed and assessed but this does not exclude the importance they have always played in the investigation, even if they were dangerous criminals to say (but obviously 'information moves the target from the "declaration" to the "reporting", as happened in the case of D'Addario). Closed in parentheses. Up to this point is nothing new under the sun, but if we dig deep to all these events can be seen from a distance which is the basis, what are the foundations of this spider's web in which all of us, ordinary citizens, we were trapped. We leave this aspect for a moment, we'll come back later and take a step forward over the years. Let me be clear: this is a game that involves everyone, from right to left, without exception, although from my point of view with a different approach. While Left turns any suspicion, perhaps for decency, perhaps for consistency, perhaps out of necessity (then we'll understand why), in an instant and immediate submission to the discharge processes, right, you tend to do essentially the opposite. All this proves what I would call "the big lie", this time in the key post-fascist and paraphrasing Giampaolo Pansa, which forms the basis that the day before yesterday but has been perfectly described by Ezio Mauro in La Repubblica as the "great exception" to Berlusconi to this system and all those who belong to it. "The big lie" is nothing but the idea that part of Magistrates, or the whole totality of it as the continuous feedback, is politicized and use their institutional role instrumental purposes. I say that the investigation of the Italian Left (I could mention a few, such as health Bari, the scale of banks, the case Marrazzo, at the time Mastella & family) deny coverage because this creates a strange contradictory and ambiguous vision. On the one hand they say that the judiciary will undermine the power of one-way Berlusconi, attacking on several fronts, the other insists it with the idea that a reform of the justice (meaning stripped of his powers as a balance) can serve everyone, including the Left. In the first case does not explain the processes carried out against the leaders of the Left, while in the latter case you draw a scenario in which the judiciary is divided between Left and Right, and is used to frame their political opponents tainting the image of important people inside the two sides. A third view, rather than partisan, is one that sees a part of the politicized judiciary to persecute the current Chairman of the Board and all officers appointed by him, while the remaining free from any political principle does his job and, therefore, investigates apples of PD and allies. I leave you any comment on this picture because I would like to return to the fairy-tale reality continuing the path that we left off, trying to figure out how it is possible that, in a country where the general malaise is prevailing, tastabile, you breathe in the air and cut into slices, credit may instead find this vision of things can be justified and all the pieces that are part of this macabre board. We can then plug in what we had left open a few lines earlier, and in particular as regards the relations between the state and the Mafia that were to shape after the birth of the Second Republic (or alleged). Among the many things that have emerged, one in particular is central to understand and grasp the meaning of this idea: the control of the nascent party Forza Italy on major national television networks. The continued widening of the power of the master then led that his influence penetrated, as a kind of servility virus, even in public television and that they align themselves, with very few exceptions, with the party line. I do not think that Italy is a country of fools (not all, at least), but a whole series of social conditions for reasons of space is not easy to analyze here, in parallel with the increasing importance that the media have played in all reality the West can place the "big lie" as an educated guess. Mind you: the power of the media is not limited to direct votes in the "authoritarian democracy" in Giorgio Bocca beautifully shows us the essential features, but also operates a more complex cultural transformation that necessarily involves our society, consumption patterns to distinguish what is right and what is not. If we take as its central point the control of information, from the TG to the afternoon talk show, el'intrecciarsi this with a political position, I think we can give easy answers to many questions arising in recent years in Italy . Consider, for example, the crisis and the decline of the Italian Left, on which so much has been said and on which the fall of the huge boulders as heavy responsibilities at home (the lack of a leader and its divisions, first of all) is not can fully understand if you do not come within a political context in which political control on information is almost entirely one way. "You fight with the windmills," you might say. That is why, having no other support than that of party newspapers, all the Secretaries PD are regularly confronted with judicial investigations aimed at members inside the party itself, but without their side (fortunately, imagine if they too will have the opportunity) the possibility of lying in front of the Italians. From here the necessity of resignation or, at best, the constant habits by the Centre-Right on the reform of justice and shared opposition feeble. Berlusconi and his entourage are well aware of this, so trying constantly to remove the party led by Bersani as far as possible from orbit DiPietro, condemning a sword that logic, trying to find consensus, which is useful to leave 'Italy trapped in its waste and its patronage, perhaps in exchange for some "therapeutic massage".
